This section consists of flat easy terrain through mixed scenery – wooded valley, riverside paths and farmland. Between Craigellachie, with its fine Telford bridge, and Aberlour there are several distillery options. Afterwards the Way crosses the Spey by Bridge of Carron and meanders above the river to its west, passing through Tamdhu and Blacksboat, finally returning to the east bank by the historic Ballindalloch Viaduct (1863).

A multi-user route along the trackbed of the former Great North of Scotland Railway. Should you wish to avoid two suspension bridges, e.g. if on horseback, use the adjacent fords.
